Whitefish Wrestling Sends Five Grapplers to State

    The 2025 Western "A" Divisional Wrestling Tournament took place last weekend in Browning.

    First up a look at the boys side of things:

    Ronan would win the Divisional Tourney with Frenchtown 2nd and Libby/Troy taking 3rd.

    The Whitefish Bulldogs would finish 9th as a team and qualified five for this weekend's Class "A" State Championship Tournament.

    Landree Aurand would lead the way for the Dogs, taking 1st place at 144 pounds. Aurand won the Divisional title by fall.

    Carter Olson would take 3rd for the Dogs, at 150 pounds.

    Sam Akey finished in 5th place at Heavyweight and Logan Heyne was 6th at 157 pounds.

    And now a look at the girls side:

    Whitefish's lone female Wrestler Taylor Dorval would capture the Divisional Title, taking 1st place at 130.

    As a team it was Ronan winning the tourney with Browning 2nd and Polson 3rd.

    Up Next: The All Class State Wrestling Tournament will be taking place February 14th and 15th at the Metra Park in Billings.
