On Senior Night, Bulldog Basketball Falls to Bigfork

    It was Senior Night, Tuesday, as the Whitefish Bulldog Boys Basketball played host to Bigfork.

    This was the final regular season game of the year for Whitefish.

    Senior Night Festivities would commence prior to the start of the game.

    The Dogs had five seniors recognized, Tuesday night: Carson Gulick, Ryan Conklin, Calvin Eisenbarth, CJ Thew and Scotty Dalen.

    The Bigfork Vikings would play spoiler on the evening.

    The Vikings would come out strong in the first quarter and built an 18-8 lead after the first frame.

    Bigfork continued that strong momentum into the 2nd before Whitefish went on a little spurt to end the half. Bigfork led at the intermission 33-17.

    Whitefish would cut into the lead in the 2nd half getting as close as eight points but every time the Dogs seemed to get a little momentum Bigfork had an answer. The Vikings would hold on in the end claiming the 69-51 victory.

    Bigfork was led by Austin Savik with 25 points. Jack Lucke dropped in 13 while Treker Hickey and Quinn Herring had 12 each.

    The Dogs were led by Carson Gulick with 14 while Will Sisson had 11.

    With the win the Vikings claim the No. 5 Seed in the Northwest "A" Conference with Whitefish the No. 6 Seed.

    Bigfork will host Whitefish in the Play-In Tournament on Thursday with tip-off at 7:15pm.

    Winner of that game keeps their season alive while the loser will see their season come to a close.
