Whitefish's Ryder Barinowski, Mason Kelch Sign with Montana Tech for Football

On Wednesday, a pair of Whitefish High School athletes officially signed with Montana Tech to continue their athletic and academic careers.

In front of a large crowd of parents, family and friends Ryder Barinowski and Mason Kelch officially committed to Montana Tech for Football.

Barinowski has been a reliable kicker for the Dawgs over the last couple of years. Barinowski was named 2nd Team All-Conference at Kicker and Punter for the 2023 season. 

Barinowski was 2nd in Class in in Yards Per Punt averaging a whopping 40.73 yards each boot. His long was 77 while tallying 4 inside the 20. He would also go 2-5 this season on Field Goals with a long of 39. He was also 22-26 from PAT's. He tallied 31 Kick-offs averaging 57.4 Yards while totaling 15 touchbacks

Barinowski was also 2nd Team All-Conference as a Kicker in 2022.

He was selected a 1st Team All-Conference and All-State Kicker in 2021.

Mason Kelch has been one of the best athletes to walk through the doors of Whitefish. Kelch, a multi-sport athlete, has been named All-State in Football, Basketball and Tennis.

Kelch, who will primarily play defense at the next level, was named 1st Team All-Conference as a Wide Receiver and Safety for his performance on the gridiron in 2023.

Kelch would split time, playing multiple positions his senior year.

As a receiver he would total 28 catches for 319 yards and 4 touchdowns.

As a quarterback he was 32-74 for 244 yards and 2 TD's.

He also had 2 interceptions and recovered 1 fumble on defense.

Kelch would also earn 1st Team All-Conference as a Junior.

That year, Kelch would primarily play receiver and totaled 594 yards on 47 catches while finding the end zone 5 times.

Kelch finishes his career notching over 1,300 total yards of offense.
